BRASILIA, July 25 (Xinhua) -- The employment rate in Brazil had a 50.2 percent increase during June, the best result for that month since 2013, the Ministry of Economy informed on Thursday.
According to the General Registry of Admitted and Laid-Off Workers, 48,436 jobs new jobs were created last month, 50.2 percent more compared to the 37,188 jobs created in May.
In total, there were 1,248,106 new hirings and 1,199,670 job losses in June.
The economic sectors that generated the most jobs were the service industry (23,020 jobs) and the agriculture, fisheries and forestry industry (22,702).
In contrast, the manufacturing industry lost 10,988 jobs and the commercial sector 3,007.
The labor toll of the last 12 months is positive, with 524,931 new jobs created.
